The hotel itself was good value for the money as the bed was comfy the location good n and the breakfast good . We did have one problem though when our key wouldn't open the room on our second day, but the receptionist sorted this quickly for us also you can hear the tube line from the room we had on the top floor when the train rolled by, so we used ear buds at night to block the sound out.
Stayed here for work and arrived late in the evening. The night porter was lovely and helpful and checked us in quickly. The room was clean, spacious and had a comfortable bed. The shower pressure wasn’t brilliant and the temperature did fluctuate quite a bit, but the bathroom was otherwise clean and functional. The breakfast was pretty good with a mix of hot and cold options. I would stay here again.
Clean rooms, nice hotel, but the highlight was the amazing service from the staff. They were very welcoming, helpfull and friendly. A extra big thanks to Anirudh, he was amazing!
Certainly not Ritz standard but a perfectly adequate Travelodge. Rather tired decor, lacks air conditioning but fine with the fan and open window. Traffic noise was as expected for a capital city, quiet until early morning but not intrusive. Contrary to the numerous recent feedback comments posted, the trains were barely audible - maybe I was lucky although I was in a street facing room. Staff were friendly and efficient, overall I would have no qualms about staying again.
On a back street, unfortunately it is in need of a total refurbishment.Very close to railway line. Can't fault the staff for there friendly approach and helpfulness they all were a credit to Travelodge.They just need a decent hotel to match.
Great location very convenient for public transport. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Reception and bar area are nice. The room was a good size with a comfortable bed and decent shower. However, the heating was not working when I arrived and I simply could not get it to. The staff provided a portable heater which helped. The continual blinking of the ac/heater made it hard for me to fall asleep. On the whole, a good stay, especially as I had my dog with me too :)
I had a lovely stay at this hotel, thanks to Siho. He was very polite and always ready to help. The rooms were clean, and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was nice and the location was great. The only downside was some noise from the railway, but overall, Siho and the team made my visit enjoyable.
For the price its great value.If you want the Ritz its not for you.5 min walk to Tower Hill or 15 min to Whitechapel/Aldgate East/Brick Lane. Spoons round the corner,bonus.
